PrivateSky Aviation Services is constructing brand new maintenance and customer service centres at SouthWest Florida International Airport (RSW). The facilities will be complete by the fall of 2001 and their main business will be the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Gulfstream II, III and IV aircraft.
.....When finished, the 30-acre facility will be able to work on 12 Gulfstream size aircraft at any one time. Currently, PrivateSky can work on four such aircraft at its hangar, having acquired the former Jet South facilities at SouthWest Florida International Airport. These are being combined with the new PrivateSky facilities under construction.
.....With regard to the GII in particular, a company spokesman said: "we will have an installing facility for the Stage 3 hush kit, which is being manufactured |

by Really Quiet. This will be one of the first facilities to be installing the kit once it comes out of its conformity phase with the FAA.
.....
"The addition of these kits will result in added value and longevity for the GII. This will also mean the worldwide marketplace will again be available in both the IIs and IIIs - something which has been in jeopardy in some countries."
.....As a loyal Gulfstream ally, PrivateSky Aviation says its purpose is to keep GIIs flying for another thirty years. The spokesman added: "As it so well built, this is one of the few aircraft worth spending money on to keep it fly."
.....A recent addition to the PrivateSky team is Royce Stevens, who takes up the role of general manager and member of the board of directors. PrivateSky is an affiliate of Wolanin Companies Ltd. |
